To- Chinese Take Away for One.

I love how incredibly full and happy you are about to make me.

Love, Rebekah.

To- Ze 'air on my 'ead.

Not entirely sure why I wrote the address in a French accent.

Any-hoo!

You're getting dyed. In the holidays.
I need a change.

Just letting you know in advance!

Looking forward to it!
Love, Rebekah.

Of the guy next door.
You are so annoying!!

Love (questionable- I'm not feeling much compassion for you), Rebekah.

To- Clean Laundry.

Oh how I love you.

Your smell!

Everything about that smell just reminds me of home. Of mum forever asking me to do the laundry, which I hate, but do anyway. Of the methylated spirits and water concoction she uses to spray the clothes she's ironing, and the way she gets to decide what's on tv while the ironing board is out. The gorgeous gardenias and their amazing perfume right next to the clothesline outside. The way the dogs come out to play when you're hanging up washing, thinking its actually easy to throw the ball without it landing on the roof from the little niche the clothesline hides behind. The way our clothes always smell better than other peoples, largely because of the extra cash we splash to buy the eco-friendly powder. And the overall smell of clean, friendly, homeliness.

Of course, it's also delicious how warm the towels are straight from the dryer, I love folding them up, and just holding them a while longer until all the warmth is gone...

Thank you for the memories. And the clean clothes!
Love, Rebekah.

To- The Woolworths customers who walked straight past the caeser salad pack on special.

You guys rock.

Just because it was reduced to $3.28 (largely due to the pink stalks inside the pack) and expires tomorrow! Tomorrow is my biggest little brothers birthday, so tomorrow is a special day! Plus, it's 06/06! You just can't beat dates where the month and day are the same!

And I reckon the pink stalks gave it a lovely rustic tone, once you pulled them all out and saved them (for nothing; Just because they expire on a special day doesn't mean we should tempt our immune systems that much)!

And I think maybe the best bit, is that I got my dinner and desert for all under ten bucks! Beat that Curtis Stone! (Who, for all you Americanies is a celebrity chef, who is advertising cheap prices at one of our Aussie supermarkets to 'feed your family for under $10'. And Woolworths is their supermarket rival. Goodness! There's so much culturally different I could keep explaining for ages...)

So yes. Thank you dear customers, afraid of a little pink and a special day.
Happy birthday for tomorrow, Lukey. You old little brother, you. :)

Love, Rebekah.

To- Room 612, Block 6, International House, University of Newcastle, Callaghan, NSW, Australia, 2308.

I'm a bit excited! Only 2 more weeks of this room!

After that it's holidays, and hopefully those holidays involve me moving all my stuff out of here and all the way to the other end of the car park!

Oh, I should be so lucky.

It's been nice, you know, being holed up in here for the last 13 weeks or so.
But I'm still looking forward to it ending.

I just don't think it was ever meant to be, you and me.

Love (and much excitement), Rebekah.

To- Frozen Peas.

                                                 Just... Thank you.

For helping the clumps of scar tissue and old blood and inflamed muscles in my poor sprained ankle separating and replacing it with fresh, new blood!
You've made the whole land-on-someone-else's-sneaker-all-of-five-minutes-before-half-time-when-we-were-already-a-player-down-and-consequently-causing-me-to-fall-quite-heavily-on-my-outer-ankle-which-despite-being-pretty-awesome-and-squishy-at-the-moment-still-hurts-like-hell-when-I-try-to-move-my-ankle-anything-other-than-up-or-down-a-bit so much betterer! (Betterer applies as a word here because that's what frozen peas just do.)
Oh! And thanks for being so yummy while you're sitting on my ankle just calming everything down. :)

Love, Rebekah.

To- My Superstar Olivia.

Oh how I miss you these days!
All those feasts we would have at your house, with your stylish, fashionable and very 'in' miniature Chihuahua...
Although you did have a tendency to beat us all at 'Physical' when we played singstar, and anything from the Grease soundtrack too...
Of course my favouritest time of all was when you pulled the oven door off in an attempt to get what was inside back out again... I suppose you were just not used to the way us common-folk cook. (But have you learnt anything from it yet?)

Ah look! A picture, from our younger days!
Goodness we were so attractive!!
(Not to mention our incredible photogenetic-ness...)

Oooh dear, I do hope I didn't cause any confusion with Olivia Newton-John.

I suppose not, our hideous five-years-ago photo would have cleared it up straight away!

Now do get a blog, dear Olivia, and if not, then write back to my letter with haste! Haste I say!!

Missing you everyday,
Love, Rebekah.

To- Anyone Suffering in Silence.

Just pretend you're a ninja on a secret mission!
It gives you oodles of confidence!

Love, Rebekah.

P.S. One day, when I haven't got exams coming up, and my laptop isn't being frustratingly slow, I'll touch this picture up and maybe make it even, which I really couldn't be bothered to do tonight.

To- Everyone that read that last post.

My Brain and I really did intend on going to the library.

Right up until I woke up and felt like someone had bashed my head a few times in the very limited time I spent sleeping.
So no, I'm not in the library. I'm in bed, I've just taken more paracetamol, and I have textbooks with me, just have to find the eye strength to read them now.

Love, Rebekah.

To- My Brain (that still isn't in study mode!)

That's it!!
Tomorrow, we're going to the library.
Just you and me.
And we're doing work.
And we'll go in daggy clothes and not care what people think.
And we'll accomplish stuff!!
And we'll get a latte, just for the other blog.

Now go to sleep!
You need to get your circadian rhythm into a reasonable pattern before exams start!!

Goodnight, Brain.

Love, Rebekah.

To- My Assessment Due Tomorrow.

It's nothing personal...
Okay, maybe it is.
But it doesn't have to be like this!
I'd be more than willing to complete you, if only you were a little more compelling in your argument!
So far as I can see, I'm getting much more out of emptying my clothes from their drawers, and then folding them neatly into little piles, and replacing in the drawers according to weather suitability.

But on second thoughts, the whole fact that you're worth 20% of my grade this semester is a pretty valid point.
Oh, and only 49 hours to complete you in?

Alright, attention gained.
Nice doing business with you.

Love, Rebekah.

To- My Black Shoes.

Way to let all the rain in.
My feet weren't that in need of a wash.
Desperate times then called for desperate drying measures.
Yup, the hair dryer.

Hope you enjoyed the clean out. :)
Love, Rebekah.

To- My Left Earlobe.

Get over it.
The earring is staying in there.
Until tomorrow night, when I play netball, but after that it's staying in!
Until I get my car fixed and can drive to the shops and buy some studs.
After that, it's staying in.
So you can just get over being swollen and throbbing and red and hot and oozy and just get used to it already.

Love, Rebekah

To- The Guy running up the hill...

Thanks for 'gidday'-ing me.
It made my day.
Who would've thought that's all it takes.

Also, sorry for probably having a sour expression plastered all over my face. Not having the best day. But you certainly made it better!

I hope you're having a happy day.
Love, Rebekah.

To- Home.

I miss you.

To- My Dumb Car.

I hate you. I really do. I have a pit in the bottom of my stomach, and in it brews a deep loathing which I frequently exercise on you. Please note: you bring it on yourself. If you didn't keep stuffing up and having various bits and pieces ceasing functioning all over the place and needing fixing or replacing, we could probably have a rather peaceful relationship going on.
I'm afraid to day might be the last straw. It's only partially because you won't even start for me, let alone give me so much as a clue as to what is wrong with you. It's mostly because it's cold and wet and since you refuse to start I have to walk up a hill at 8.00pm tonight to get to my netball game. And then, I have to walk home after it.
I hope you're happy. I hope you like ruining my life, because right now, I'm thinking of ruining yours. If you cost so much as a dollar over $100 to get you up and running, it'll be off to the wrecking yard. I hope they allow me to sit by and watch and do NOTHING, because quite frankly that's all you've done to me over the last year and a bit I've owned you.
I'm sorry it has to end like this.
But I hope you know it's entirely your fault.
I don't even drive like a hoon.
Love (or rather hate, as the case may be), Rebekah.

To- The Lady in The Kitchen

Yes, you. The lady who slopped my already not particularly nice looking food into a plastic container and effectively made it look worse. I mean; really. I understand how annoying it must be. There's got to be over a thousand dinners that you get to slop into plastic boxes or onto worn and wearied plates, but just once in a while, I think you should approach it with an artistic view, over your (I can't help but feel) prevalent I-just-want-to-get-out-of-here-quickly view. It's not doing anyone any favours! On a lighter note, dinner tonight was pretty okay. Kudos on the peas- they're my favourite.
Love, Rebekah (you might know me as 454).
